The Grizzly Bear is a fierce, versatile predator that historically ranged from the northern most regions of Alaska to present day Mexico. This demonstrates their unique ability to effectively hunt and survive throughout the vast region with varying prey, landscapes, and conditions. Grizzlies are cunning apex predators that use their unmatched strength and astonishing speed to dispatch their prey. The versatility of the Grizzly, paired with its durability to survive in nearly any conditions was the inspiration through the development of the all new Ravus Bino Pack.
As hunters, we all have unique preferences when it comes to our gear based on our target animal, conditions, hunting methods, and terrain. The Ravus Bino Pack allows you, the hunter, to customize your kit to fit your specific needs, and to make modifications as your situation changes.
The Ravus features a forward opening lid with a quiet, magnetic closure. The top of the lid is constructed with 2 elastic sleeves that are a staple of Alaska Guide Creations Bino Packs. These sleeves are narrower and are not recommended for a phone, but can hold small/light accessories. The main Compartment measures 6.75-inches tall x 6.25-inches wide x 3.5 inches deep and will fit MOST roof prism binoculars up to 12x50 including most popular rangefinding binoculars. The rear compartment (flat zipper pocket) measures 5.75-inches wide x 5-inches tall. Side pockets on the Ravus are flat mesh pockets that are perfect for holding wind checkers, mouth reeds, or any other small items that require quick access.
In addition, each Ravus pack comes equipped with (1) Ravus Pocket attached to the bottom of the bino pack. This pocket can be attached to the bottom (forward facing zipper) or front (top facing zipper) of the Ravus Bino Pack and features dual zippers that make it ideal for right and left handed users. The bottom of the Ravus Pocket also features a laser cut panel that allows for additional attachment of accessories when mounted in either location. An additional Ravus Pocket can be attached to run dual pockets (front and bottom). The Ravus Pocket measures 1.5-inches tall x 6-inches wide x 3.25-inches deep and is perfect for storing small, handheld rangefinders, a light pair of gloves, headlamp, Outdoor Edge knife and blades, or any other small necessities.
The Ravus is fully modular in its design to allow for customization through addition or subtraction of accessories to the front, sides, and bottom of the pack. Connection of accessories is made possible by the Alaska Guide Creations durable laser panels that are made from laminated 500D nylon. In addition to the Ravus Pocket, other new and existing Alaska Guide Creations Accessories can be attached to the Ravus Bino Pack including: AGC Holster, XL Holster, Black Arch Holster, In-line Accessory Adapter, Rangefinder Pouch, Mag Rangefinder Pouch, Bear Spray Holster, Bow Hook, and Cell Mag Pouch. Some of these accessories have not yet been launched, but will be available in the near future.
Gen L Harness and Pro Tether Upgrades - Jaret developed the first bino pack 50 years ago while guiding in Alaska. While we strongly believe that if it’s not broke, don’t fix it, we also believe that through continuing innovation we can improve our designs to better suit the needs of our customers.
Gen L Harness – The Gen L (Celebrating 50 years of innovation) Harness is a slim, padded harness that allows the user to completely contain excess webbing within the shoulder straps to eliminate dangling webbing and provide a clean, comfortable finish.
Pro Tethers – The Pro Tethers connect directly to the Gen L Harness at the grommet located at the point of the shoulder straps. They also connect easily to other AGC Harnesses through the slot on the male buckle or 3 bar slider. The Pro Tethers are 3/8” elastic webbing that secure and protect optics in the event of a drop, but also allow for them to be easily detached when required. To attach and detach the optic from the tether, simply rotate the custom tether clip 90 degrees and slide the tether loop through the slot of the clip. The black micro cord loop/tether clip can then be attached through the attachment location of the optic by slipping the micro cord through the optic attachment point then back over the tether clip. Reattach the tether clip to the 3/8” tether loop in the same fashion you removed it.
Each Ravus Bino Pack comes complete with the matching Gen L Harness and a set of the all new Pro Tethers.
